Can Veristep track firestopping through rated walls and floors?
Every penetration, the listed system that seals it, its photos and inspection, and which areas can't be covered up yet.
Under Firestopping, log each pipe, duct, tray or conduit that passes through a fire-rated wall or floor: what passes through, the listed system and product used, the installer, the label number and photos before and after sealing. A penetration can be pinned on the drawing, where it shows as its own marker.
Record each inspection. A failed one opens a deficiency. The penetration reads repaired, awaiting re-inspection once the fix is done, and passed only after a later passing inspection.
Can we cover it up? lists every room and floor that still has uninspected or failed penetrations, so a ceiling isn't closed over work nobody has seen. The barrier-management report prints the whole record by floor, which is what a hospital shows its surveyors for the life of the building.
