How does the Billing screen turn proof into an invoice?
Your firm's invoicing of the work it can prove, handed to your own books.
Billing (under Business) prices what the record proves: closed cases, recorded hours, per diem days — each on the basis your firm set for that client. Nothing is billed that the record cannot show, which is also why a disputed line is settled by opening the case, not by arguing.
The invoice itself goes to your QuickBooks. Money truth lives there; this screen reads it back so the office sees what left and what came in without a second system to keep in step.
What your firm pays Veristep is a different screen — Organization → Plan & billing — and never mixes with your own invoices.
