How does Veristep handle lockout/tagout and energizing equipment?
A written permit to a qualified person, every lock proven dead, a signed briefing, and the energization step waits until all of it is in place.
Under Safety permits, draft a lockout/tagout, switching or energized-work permit for the machines it covers, name the authorized person and the qualification they hold, and back it with their credential on file or your own attestation. List each isolation point and its lock number; the crew records each lock going on and zero energy being verified. The permit can be issued only once every lock is on and proven dead.
For an energization or energized-work permit, hold the pre-energization briefing under Toolbox talks, tied to the permit, and have the crew sign in on the tablet or on the printed sheet. The permit can't be issued until the briefing has signatures.
Mark a template step as needing a safety permit and the step can't be completed until an active permit of that kind covers the machine. The step records which permit it was done under. A permit closes only when every lock is off; a void needs a reason, and nothing is deleted.
