What is the morning briefing?
One email early each morning with the three things most worth opening first.
The morning briefing is a short email that goes to the people who run the firm and manage the jobs — administrators and managers — early each morning, before the working day starts on the East Coast. It names the three things on your dashboard most worth opening first, each with a count and a link, and says how many more are waiting. On a quiet morning, when nothing is waiting, nothing is sent.
It is written from the same numbers the dashboard already shows, ranked the same way every day: a trial about to end, critical deficiencies still open, deficiencies past their due date, decisions the AI team is waiting on, documents past due, follow-ups overdue, signature requests older than three days, shipments past their ETA, open cases with nobody assigned, and warranties ending within thirty days. No one writes it by hand and nothing in it is guessed — the same facts produce the same words.
Technicians do not get it: their day is on their own dashboard, and their work is what the briefing is about. Someone who is no longer an employee, or whose account is archived, is not written to.
To stop it, open Notifications under your account and turn off Email me the morning briefing. It takes effect the next morning. Turning it back on works the same way. The switch is yours alone; an administrator cannot flip it for you.
Every briefing that leaves is on your Notifications page with the mail provider's word on it, the same as any other email the product sends you — so "I never got it" has an answer.
