How does Veristep keep track of calibrated test instruments?
Every meter your crews read with, its calibration history, and a rule that a reading taken with an out-of-date meter doesn't count.
Add each instrument to Test instruments with its kind, make, model and serial, then record each calibration with the lab's certificate and the next due date. The register shows which meters are in date, due soon or overdue.
A template's reading step can require a calibrated instrument of a given kind. The technician picks the meter when entering the reading, and only meters that are in date, in service and of the right kind are offered. The reading records the meter's serial and the calibration it was taken under, so years later you can still show which meter took it.
When a lab finds a meter out of tolerance on arrival, record it as found. Veristep raises a follow-up on every job that meter read on since its last good calibration, naming each reading, so someone can decide what needs to be taken again.
